While it can grow up to 30 meters in the forest, when grown in a pot or small garden, it will stay within 2 meters even after several decades. Also known as the Umbrella Pine it forms a neat, pyramidal shape with symmetrical and horizontal branches, adding to its visual appeal. It has fibrous red brown bark and leathery, glossy green leaves in whorls. It prefers moist soils and should be protected
